Trusting God

Trusting God

“Offer sacrifices in righteousness and trust in the Lord.”

Psalms 4:5 (CSB)

Do you trust the Lord?

God is holy. He is not like us. He is absolute moral perfection. He is all powerful, all knowing, and all present.

We are finite. We are helpless. We can only be in one place at one time.

Yet, we struggle with trusting God to take care of us. This tendency is so ironic when we cannot take care of ourselves. Without God, we are incapable of breathing; however, we often live our lives as if we sustain and prosper ourselves. We think that we obtain our sustenance and resources based on our own strength and intellect.

The work we do to gain resources and provision is only done through the grace of God giving us strength to do it. If it was not for God’s grace, we would not the oxygen we breathe or blood pulsing through our bodies. We are totally dependent upon Him.

God is worthy of our lives. He is worthy of our trust. He is worthy for who He is and for what He’s done through Jesus Christ.

Are you trusting God with your life?

Do you trust Him with your plans and your future?

Do you trust Him with your family?

Trusting God means that we seek Him and His will for every aspect of our lives. It means we surrender everything to Him. Trusting Him means that we yield control to Him and desire to pursue Him. Having Christ as Lord of your life is an exercise in trust.

Will you trust Him? Will you surrender your life to Christ?

If you are already a Christ follower, are you trusting Him with every aspect of your life?

Pray for grace today to trust God more.

Blessings!
